Autoimmune diseases and Homeopathy

Autoimmune diseases are a chronic condition. These develop when body's own
immune system attacks body's own healthy tissues by mistake. Usually, these diseases
run in families and fluctuate between periods of remission  and flare-ups. It is not
exactly known why the immune system makes a faulty attack on its own body tissues. Modern medicines attribute some of
it's causes to bacteria/virus, environmental
irritants, drugs and chemical irritants.
But there is no curative treatment in modern medicines for autoimmune diseases.

In alternative medicines (including homeopathy), the understanding of
autoimmune diseases are slightly different.
In naturopathy, these are considered to be mainly due to accumulation of toxins in
body tissues and blood. Some of common
autoimmune diseases are rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, vitiligo etc.

Homeopathic experiences and observations
reveal that autoimmune diseases are caused and triggered by several conditions which makes immune system weakened. A weak immune system which has to protect the body gets confused, feel overly insecure
and produce faulty antibodies which attack
the body's own healthy tissues. The related causative factors which are identified include the following:
1. Environment ( warm/cold).
2. Food (disorder).
3. Stress (physical/mental).
4. Hormone disorder (male/female).
5. Blood disorder (low Hb).
6. Abuse of antibiotic drugs.
Normally, not one but a few of the above
causative factors together make the immune system weak and venerable to
attack it's own body tissues like that of
joint, skin, eye, blood vessels, heart etc.
The above causative factors have also
significant implications for homeopathic
treatment of autoimmune diseases.

Low mood and depression

In these cases, we need to delve into the core issues. What is the cause which led to the present condition?
How one responded to that original situation? It has to be combined with the personality traits of the person.
Different personalities react differently to a similar situation. Current symptoms ( top layer ) may be similar in many cases. We need to ameliorate the top
layer at first. Deeper layer (personality layer) need to
be corrected at later stage.

In deeply ingrained chronic diseases, treating the deeper layer first does not help much. We need to treat the evolution of the symptoms in a case in the reverse order of their appearance for effective cure. Miasmatic layer may also be involved and needs to be treated.

For Holistic management of these cases, we can combine some aerobic exercises, breathing exercise and meditation alongside medication.
