Some facts about Arnica montana

These facts about Arnica have emerged from clinical observations over a long period of time and have been clinically verified repeatedly. When studies are carried out about the symptomatology of various  homeopathic remedies and their clinical applications, it is observed that every remedy has its special affinity for body's location, tissues, cells and organs. In the materia medica, these aspects have not been dealt with in details although mention has been made in generalised way about their affinities. For Arnica it has been observed that it has special affinity for left knee pain, right thigh spasm, right hip joint pain, left neck spasm, right side toothache and right side dry eye and sticky discharge. It is also found to be mainly a New Moon remedy.

Post-chemotherapy management of lung cancer

A patient in early fifties had chemotherapy treatment for  bilateral lung carcinoma which metastasized and developed severe side effects of chemotherapy. He had history of smoking.  The remedies needed to effectively manage the side effects and control the disease were found to be Nux vomica, Ipecac, Arsenicum album, Phosphorous, China, Belladonna, Rhus tox and Cadmium sulph.

Paradoxical part of homeopathy.

Homeopathy is an unique health care system. Like any other science, more and more innovations are indeed desirable in homeopathy as well. That is whether the medicine was similar to that situation  /ailment or not? This kind of uncertainty exists not only with one methodology of selecting medicine but almost with all the so far available methodologies. Even more and more evolved methodologies of last few decades are  not free of the uncertainty factor. One of the most vital reasons could be that we are not probably delving into the inner essence of Hahnemann's Totality of symptoms what was truly meant. Homeopaths as students of science know that physical, chemical and biological actions run simultaneously in human bodies. So, can we focus only on one essence, or one sensation, or one core feeling as representative of the entire functioning of human body, mind and emotion ? Homeopathically, the constitutional medicines come very close to the concept of Hahnemann's Totality of Symptoms, so far. That is why the rightly selected constitutional remedies frequently give wonderful treatment results. But the constitutional medicines are not applicable in every situation or every ailment. Can we discover the original essence of Master Hahnemann's Totality of Symptoms and devise a methodology which will entail a speedier evaluation of the patient and incorporation of  certainty of the selectable remedy in a particular case?
